Stop Plumbing, Start Shipping: RAG Apps with Foundry IQ

RAG projects often stall in “knowledge plumbing”: every app rebuilds connectors, indexing/vectorization, retrieval logic, and governance—creating brittle, duplicated pipelines that are hard to scale and harder to secure. Foundry IQ flips that model by acting as a unified knowledge layer—an agent-facing knowledge endpoint that routes to the right sources and returns grounded context while respecting existing permissions.

In this talk, we’ll cover (1) how Foundry IQ knowledge bases replace one-off RAG stacks with reusable, topic-centric grounding you can share across apps, (2) connecting indexed and remote/federated knowledge sources and what “automatic indexing/vectorization/enrichment” changes for dev effort, (3) what “agentic retrieval” means in practice (planning, multi-source retrieval, synthesis, and configurable retrieval reasoning effort), and (4) a concrete contrast: DIY Tech Manual–style RAG plumbing vs. the Foundry IQ simplification
