The Emotion Matching Task (EMT): Measurement Invariance and Longitudinal Growth in Preschoolers
This talk will outline an anti-bias approach to measuring children’s emotion knowledge. It will also highlight how emotion knowledge varies across gender, language, and ethnic-racial student groups and develops over time. Accurately measuring and indexing changes in emotion knowledge is critical, given its links to school readiness, academic achievement, and higher-quality peer relations.
