Building a fully "functional" F# web API
How does a "functional programmer" go about building a web API in F#? How does it differ from "object oriented" solutions in C#?
In this talk we'll go over just enough concepts of the functional programming paradigm and apply them to flesh out a fully functional web API.
We will touch on topics like immutability, partial application, union types, pattern matching, functors, applicatives and much more juicy functional concepts. Instead of boring theory we'll immediately apply what we learn in our web API.
You'll leave this session with a better understanding of what "functional programming" really means, both in theory and in practice.
