Session
Designing for failure, guided by chaos
In software development, failure is an inherent trait of the systems we build. The distributed nature of modern applications makes this reality more pronounced.
In this workshop, we apply principles of chaos engineering to examine how distributed systems behave under stress.
We will:
- Analyze system workflows and identify potential failure points
- Experiment and observe how specific faults impact the system
- Evaluate and apply typical patterns to improve the system's resiliency
Using a mix of instructor-led guidance and hands-on troubleshooting, participants will gain a more practical understanding of how to design and troubleshoot distributed applications.
This is a workshop session.
Currently designed to require Git, .NET 10 SDK, Docker & Docker Compose.
The target audience is any software engineer or architect that wants to improve knowledge around distributed systems, resiliency and troubleshooting.
