With the new HybridCache by Microsoft, we now have a 1st party hybrid cache we can use to get the best of both worlds between memory and distributed caching.

But is it the end of our caching journey?

Oh no, definitely not: we'll see how we can go beyond it with FusionCache to go past its limitations and get better flexibility, performance, scalability and most importantly resiliency.

FusionCache is a free+OSS hybrid cache actively used by a lot of companies including Microsoft itself in products like Data API Builder.

Bonus point, since the new HybridCache is also a shared abstraction that can be implemented by others, FusionCache is the first one to do so: we'll see how HybridCache+FusionCache play well together, with love ❤️
