What's the Deal with Microsoft Dataverse Dependent Assembly Plug-ins?

In the past, when building plug-ins targeting Microsoft Dataverse, developers were prevented from bringing in 3rd party assemblies via NuGet. This significantly restricted what was possible from an integration standpoint. In worst-case scenarios, developers would have to revert to unsupported methods, such as ILMerge, to bring in any required external assemblies - not great.

Now, with some of the latest innovations in the platform, we can use dependent assembly plug-ins and the capabilities within the Power Platform CLI not only to simplify plug-in development but also to start bringing in our external assemblies as needed. Join me for this session, where we'll explain the value proposition behind this feature and guide you through the steps required to create your first dependent assembly plug-in.
