OpenSource BGP, IPv6, and Anycast for Site Reliability Workshop
Using BGP and Anycast to load balancing and failover an application to increase site reliability has traditionally been expensive and tricky. In this workshop (or live demo), we’ll walk through setting up a multi-host load-balanced and fail-over web application using BGP and open source technologies including Terraform, BGP, BIRD, an open-source router, and IPv6.
Each attendee will be provided with a bare-metal cluster to run through this workshop. Some Linux command line experience is expected but no previous experience with BGP, Anycast, Terraform, or IPv6 is required. Attendees will need a laptop with an SSH client and a web browser.
