Session
Developing Resilient Serverless Cloud Applications with Azure Durable Functions
Serverless computing has transformed how we build and deploy applications in the cloud, especially in distributed and event-driven applications. It enables us to focus on business logic instead of infrastructure. However, our cloud applications can become complex sometimes and need better serverless technologies to manage state and orchestrate workflows.
You will learn about Azure Durable Functions can help you build serverless applications that are scalable, resilient, and efficient. We will start with key concepts and features, including developing stateful orchestrations by code and managing their lifecycles. Then, we will dive into several common application patterns and use cases, such as event-driven workflows, long-running processes, and fan-out/fan-in scenarios, human-interaction workflows, and show you how to implement them in solving complex events.
Throughout the session, we will also cover best practices for designing and deploying robust serverless applications using Durable Functions. You will learn how to handle errors, deploy them, and monitor them. There will also be a demo of various use cases and ways to build Durable Functions in .NET with other Azure services and tools, such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Monitor end-to-end serverless solutions.
After the end of this session, you will have a solid knowledge of how to use Durable Functions for serverless development with microservices and event-driven applications.
