Walking in Their Shoes: Agile Through Every Lens
Agile software development has promised a lot of things to many people. Business leaders will gain more predictability by adopting agile. Engineering teams will be much happier because they don't need to do extensive up-front planning and can write code. Customers will be happier because they will get precisely what they need.
Rarely are all of these promises kept. Why?
This session will examine all the stakeholders of a project and what they truly need for it to be successful. This session will put you in someone else's shoes so you understand their needs and think about software delivery differently.
From a business perspective, we will look at how projects are usually funded with annual budgets and how we could change that.
What does the engineering team need to do to early and often to make sure business stakeholders are happy? How can the engineering team effectively communicate and deliver without compromising quality?
Finally, how can engineering and business make sure that the customer experience promised is delivered?
This session will be full of real-world examples and ideas. It will also be very interactive with audience participation.
