In traditionally structured teams, the work of software architects often takes place separately from the development work—both spatially and temporally. Joshua’s talk shows that it can be done differently. For over four years, he has been working in a remote ensemble where the entire team takes on the role of the architect when needed. This way, the work on domain and solution architecture is done collectively by the whole team, just as the development and operation of the solutions.
