Support DEI Initiatives Year-Round w Developer Advocacy & Champions Programs
Developer Advocacy programs are global networks of developers who actively support developer communities by speaking at events, publishing content, contributing to online communities, and/or hosting events. At every hackathon or conference, you've probably encountered helpful, passionate developers who are excited to share their expertise. If this has ever happened to you, then you've probably met a Developer Advocate. Developer Advocates solve real‑life challenges, demonstrate product expertise, actively contribute to the developer community, and most importantly, they're committed to the Tech Community's values of humility, honesty, transparency, and empowering others.
Join IBM Developer Advocate, Jenna Ritten, to learn how to leverage Developer Advocacy programs to support DEI initiatives throughout the year. Companies' employee resource groups do enough work throughout the year, and they deserve to be able to take a break and enjoy these events for a change! We will discuss how you can leverage Advocacy and Champions programs to support and drive DEI initiatives company-wide and take the burden off the communities of employees you're working to support.
