One of the biggest concerns of any organization thinking on deploying Copilot for Microsoft 365 is to ensure data stored in SharePoint is being accessed by the right people with the right permissions. Until not a long time ago, the lack of governance tools and controls made almost impossible for SharePoint Admins to properly address those concerns. Fortunately for us, with SAM (SharePoint Advanced Management) in SharePoint Premium we have a set of out the box governance controls (with the required licensing in place) intended to help on manage and govern SharePoint and OneDrive as well as enhance secure collaboration so we can be ready (at least in theory) for a safe arrival of Copilot.
