Session
Embed PowerFX in .NET
Microsoft released PowerFX as open source a few years ago. PowerFX is the language that powers PowerApps. It is a declarative language similar to Excel formulas. Microsoft has provided some sample implementations in GitHub that can be used to run PowerFX calculations from .NET applications. This opens the possibility to interpret formulas entered by Business Users inside your custom .NET application. This session will help you get started with running a PowerFX interpreter in your own .NET app. We will introduce and dissect a sample C# application that uses PowerFX to run formulas to help introduce the requirements and the extensibility options for the .NET PowerFX interpreter.
Learning Objectives
1. Learn how to add the PowerFX interpreter library to your own .NET project.
2. Learn how to evaluate PowerFX formaulas using the PowerFX interpreter library.
3. Learn what options are there currently for extending the existing capabilities of the interpreter.
