Optimizing Semantic Model Size and Refresh in Fabric Capacities
Memory is always the real bottleneck in Fabric capacities. Whether your model has grown too large or your refresh process consumes too much at once, knowing how to optimize for memory is what separates a well-tuned capacity from a struggling one.
This session goes hands-on with working demos across two areas: optimizing model size - using VertiPaq Analyzer, aggregations, and designing within SKU memory limits - and optimizing memory during refresh, covering incremental refresh, hybrid tables, Direct Lake, custom partitioning, and refresh scale-out, an underused feature that leverages read replicas to take pressure off your main capacity.
Leave with a practical toolkit you can apply immediately.
