Microsoft Fabric introduces a new semantic layer through Fabric IQ and Ontologies, bringing business meaning directly into your tasks. By defining concepts like customers, products, and events, this approach creates a consistent understanding that can be reused across analytics and AI.
In this session, we will use a simple scenario to explore how ontologies extend traditional semantic models and where they add value. We will focus on the changes that happen when we move from modelling tables to modelling business concepts, and how this shift improves trust in data.
