MCP: Avoiding the SOA Trap
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open-source standard that allows A.I. agents and LLMs to connect with external sources. Essentially, A.I. agents use MCP as an integration hub to connect to data sources, tools, and even systems. Sound familiar? It should, because it’s very similar to the goals of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) back in the mid 2000’s. Those who experienced the SOA bubble know all to well how that turned out (hint: not good). In this provocative talk dive into how to avoid the SOA trap with MCP by describing the proper way to integrate MCP and A.I. agents into your ecosystem.
