Wait, what? Yes, you heard us right. “Assume positive intent” is something we’ve all seen listed in team working agreements, and many of us have probably given this advice to someone else. But what would happen if we… didn’t automatically assume positive intent? In this workshop, we’ll journey back to the origins of assuming positive intent, and wend our way through to the present, exploring the impact this mandate has had on us as agilists. You’ll leave this workshop with a more holistic view of “positive intent,” assumptions, and everything that goes along with it, including tools to help you and your teams create your own assertions.
