Building a universal and extensible platform for platforms on K8s within a financial enterprise
DevOps engineers today face significant challenges in navigating the digital landscape, particularly in large financial services organizations. Moving code from local environments to production can be a cumbersome process.
To address these challenges, we have developed a platform engineering framework built on K8s. This framework leverages tools like ArgoCD, Crossplane, and Kyverno to deliver a standardized set of capabilities, emphasizing a K8s-native approach. It extends the default API coverage of EKS clusters, providing a robust foundation for building scalable platforms.
This framework empowers platform teams to efficiently deliver their services to business teams. For instance, it supports platforms like Seldon, an MLOps solution designed to package, deploy, monitor, and manage machine learning models at scale.
By unifying workflows for platform teams, we foster a culture of platform engineering within our organization, promoting collaboration and innovation across teams.
