Before you scale AI: Is your Engineering Culture ready?
We often describe AI as a technological revolution and talk about how it is changing the way we build software and what lessons we learn from using it. But what if the biggest lesson AI is teaching us isn’t about AI at all?
As organizations race to adopt new models and productivity tools, it’s easy to believe that newer technology will naturally lead to better engineering and productivity gains. In practice, however, we see the impact on engineering teams only when strong engineering practices are already in place.
Do your engineers feel safe enough to admit they are using AI? Do they retain ownership of the code generated by machine? What review practices allow your teams to keep up with increased amount of AI-generated code? And as AI changes the way we work, should your engineering practices also be changed?
In this session we will take a step back and revisit what good engineering culture looks like. We will explore why these foundations matter even more when AI becomes part of the software development. And hopefully, we will answer the question: Is your engineering culture ready for AI?
