Session
Breaking your back‑end before production does
Your local environment lies to you. Every service runs on a single machine, the network is always healthy and nothing ever fails.
In this session, you’ll learn how to break your own back‑end before production does.
Using a realistic banking scenario built with .NET, I will show you how to run multiple replicas of your app locally, inject real‑world failures like network errors, rate limits and latency, and exercise the system under load to flush out concurrency issues. You’ll see how contract‑driven clients can embed retry and circuit breaker patterns consistently, and how these techniques fit together to give you continuous confidence in your code.
Along the way, I will show you some useful tools you can start using yourself tomorrow, like Aspire and DevProxy.
