Writing code, which used to light me up, had become just... the job. I wasn't looking for a new language or a better framework. I was just trying to understand why I had stopped caring.

The turning point wasn't a technology. It was a speaker training session organized by the BeJUG. I showed up half-expecting to feel out of place, and instead found a room full of people who were welcoming, generous, and genuinely invested in helping each other get on stage. That afternoon reminded me that behind every line of code there's a story, an exchange, a connection. The thing I thought I'd lost was slowly coming back, and it had nothing to do with technology. It was the feeling of belonging.
