Introduction to Cloud Computing

Building software today goes beyond writing lines of code on your computer: it also means designing and deploying an application, making it available to users, protecting its data, managing traffic, and controlling costs.

In this talk, we will cover the fundamental concepts of cloud computing: the pay-as-you-go model and the principles of scalability, elasticity, and resilience, which help keep an application available during traffic spikes or failures while optimizing its costs.

This talk is aimed at students and developers at the beginning of their journey and requires no prior experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. We will look at how to start navigating the cloud space and discuss certifications, personal projects, and career opportunities to understand how to build a career in cloud.
