We will practically explore the application of ChatGPT's image recognition functionality on WhatsApp for the development of innovative applications. We will use a specific case study from a Climate hackathon, where we utilized the ChatGPT API to identify and suggest the appropriate destination for waste. Additionally, we will integrate other WhatsApp API functionalities to capture user geolocation and provide a list of the nearest and most suitable waste collection points based on the identification performed.
