Session
Slides the way we code: master Slidev in an hour
What if you could write your presentations just like your code?
Slidev, created by Anthony Fu (a member of the Vue, Vite, and Nuxt teams), turns a simple Markdown file into a web-based presentation that can be version-controlled with Git.
In this masterclass, we’ll start from scratch and cover:
- the basics: syntax, layouts, themes, and speaker notes
- the toolbar: a look at every button, from presenter mode to live drawing
- code features: Shiki syntax highlighting, Magic Move animations, hover-over type info, and live code execution within the slide
- animations: click-to-reveal elements, hand-drawn annotations using Rough Notation, and transitions
- sharing: PDF export and deployment to GitHub Pages
You’ll leave with step-by-step examples to help you build your own presentation.
Subjects: Typescript - public speaking
Duration: 60 minutes
Level : beginner level
Prerequisites : You simply need to be comfortable using a terminal and have Node.js 20 or later installed on your computer.
