From Co-Pilot to Co-Worker: Mastering GitHub Copilot Agent Mode
We spent 2024 and 2025 learning to prompt. In 2026, we learn to delegate. GitHub Copilot has evolved from a smart autocomplete into a semi-autonomous "Agent Mode" capable of planning multis file edits and fixing complex logic errors. But how does this change our workflow?
In this session, we dive deep into "Agentic" development. I will demonstrate advanced workflows where we delegate entire tasks—refactoring a legacy controller, generating unit test suites, or migrating a library—while we focus on review and architecture. We will also cover the new Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect Copilot to *your* internal tools and databases, effectively turning it into a specialized team member. Stop typing; start supervising.
