Women, Forgotten Pioneers of IT Revolution
Currently, there are only 28% of women holding technology-related jobs. To bridge that gap, we need to understand why we ended up here. And for that, we need to look into the history of computing.
Today, when we are talking about pioneers of the IT revolution, we can list many names, but they are mostly males, maybe except Ada Lovelace or Creola Katherine Johnson. In this talk, I will tell the story of women, who have played a crucial role since the dawn of computing and who, with the help of the state, have been marginalised and forgotten.
