For many years, we have overlooked the critical role of SharePoint as the primary repository for all Microsoft 365 content. We have rarely discussed best practices and recommendations for effectively governing our SharePoint environments. The lack of native governance and advanced management tools has made it difficult to implement these best practices, forcing SharePoint administrators to choose between a “do it yourself” approach or adopting third-party governance solutions.
