We ignore those little flashy lights on the front of the WiFi router – until things fail. Suddenly they are THE critical feature, sitting on the outside showing us how the router is functioning. Observability gives us ‘flashy lights’ for our production applications, answering the questions we did not predict. It is impractical to keep every trace, metric, and log. Instead, let’s look at how AI/ML technology helps us see production code with new eyes. This session will discuss the definition of observability and how to achieve it.
