Ag(e)ile is not about age! - Ageism in Agile Coaching

Age discrimination in agile coaching - an unexpected reality that affects us all. In a world where our expertise is often valued through assumptions about our age, we must question the limits of these assumptions. You are too young to have your own opinions and experiences' or 'You know more classic methods'
- these sentences reflect the invisible barriers we face in agile coaching.
It is amazing that even in the 21st century such prejudices exist in Europe, regardless of age. The question is: Are age and experience really the decisive criteria for successful agile coaches? The lecture sheds light on this topic and examines the question of how behavioral patterns of unconscious discrimination arise and are passed on in everyday professional life.
Why do we discriminate against other people at all? Why don't we decide objectively and fairly?
How can we change our mindset around ageism in coaching? Which abilities and skills should be evaluated differently when evaluating coaches? These and other questions will be explored in an open discussion with the participants in the lecture.
In our lecture we dare to look at these questions critically.
Answering the question Why is discrimination quite "human" and "normal"?
We address the prejudices that arise from age and question how these distort our perception of skills and abilities. We encourage you to take a new perspective and discuss what qualities an effective Agile Coach should really have.
Our mission is to initiate an in-depth discussion to make coaching in agile environments more inclusive and diverse. By breaking down stereotypes and assumptions, we want to create an environment in which a coach's abilities are evaluated regardless of age or experience. Join us in the world of modern coaching and discover new dimensions that enable a more inclusive future for agile coaches and their methods.
