MicroVMs bring together the isolation of VMs with the speed and density of containers, making them ideal for modern PaaS and serverless workloads. They power scenarios such as fast serverless execution, secure multi-tenant platforms, ephemeral sandboxes, and the safe execution of untrusted or AI-generated code.

In this session, we will explore how MicroVMs are being adopted across Azure services and how they are enabling a new generation of compute experiences: from serverless platforms and managed containers to AI sandboxes, ephemeral workloads, and cloud-native developer platforms.
