Wiring SharePoint into a model-driven app takes about ten minutes. But the out of box setup comes up a bit short for real-world scenarios. Based on lessons learned from multiple setups at a variety of public sector organizations, this session prepares you to reduce the administrative burden of the out of the box setup.

In this demo-oriented session, we'll first walk through everything you need to configure the out of box SharePoint integration in Power Platform. We'll then discuss some of the limits of both Dataverse and SharePoint that you're likely to encounter, and how to plan your integration around them.

With the basics covered, we'll then look how to leverage Power Automate to enhance your SharePoint experience by creating folder structures that work with how you work, and tackle strategies and options for keeping permissions in sync between Power Apps and SharePoint.

By the end, you'll have the tools and strategies needed to ensure your SharePoint implementation is functional, secure, and low maintenance. While technical in nature, this session is for anyone who would benefit from seeing how to go beyond out of the box with Power Apps and SharePoint.

Based on your policies, this session can include a demo of an open-source project that I maintain which allows plug and play management of folder structures and permissions sync.
