Making the mug yours (or other personalized stuff). The democratization of production
Swag. Personalized items. An etsy shop. A gift for your wife or girlfriend (or both). Maybe just a tile with your doggo's picture on it. There was a time when laser engraving and other product creation was out of reach of someone in a non-professional space or the items available that didn't break the bank where of a lesser quality (to put it kindly).
3d printing was really the first thing that came into place that was really available to the masses. Laser engraving came later, but just recently has entered the affordable realm. With recent changes in tech there are items available at reasonable prices that can produce items rivaling items creating by professional shops.
In this talk I will go over some of the basics of 3D printing, laser engraving, from options, different manufacturers, safety precautions, and how I got into the hobby.
There will also be demos (if possible) including showing how quickly you can do something that looks great and you wouldn't be embarrassed to have on your desk.
