Session
AI tooling for software delivery roles: Practical GitHub Copilot for non‑developers
This session is designed for non‑developer roles involved in end‑to‑end software delivery—including product managers, delivery/project managers, UX, business stakeholders, and support—who want to understand and apply AI assistance in their daily work. Building on the idea that GitHub Copilot is no longer developer‑only and that usage outside engineering is currently limited, the session focuses on making AI‑assisted delivery practical, transparent, and repeatable: participants will explore how to use Copilot to accelerate planning and refinement, improve written communication and stakeholder updates, create clearer acceptance criteria and test ideas, and support operational workflows—while demystifying AI hype and fear and reinforcing “human‑in‑the‑loop” habits and limitations. The session also sets the foundation for a shared organisational language and reusable “AI‑native” building blocks (e.g., instructions/agent patterns) that help coders and non‑coders collaborate more effectively.
