Session
Shakespeare on Stage… Shakespeare in your next sprints?
We don’t make Hamlet without breaking a few eggs — and perhaps, we can’t build great agility without a little theatre either!
Agile transformation often requires teams to face tension, uncertainty, and emotion. What if we used the tools of theatre — caricature, role play, and improvisation — to explore these dynamics safely and creatively?
Drawing on several years of coaching with theatre-based techniques, this session invites participants to experience how Shakespeare’s stagecraft can illuminate Lean-Agile principles. Together, we’ll experiment with playful yet realistic situations: reenacting conflicts, reimagining user roles, and staging product conversations to surface hidden assumptions.
Through active participation and reflection, attendees will discover how theatrical methods help teams listen deeply, give and receive feedback with empathy, and design more human, adaptable systems of collaboration.
So, come ready to play with Shakespeare, learn, and perhaps realise that agility — like theatre — is a living rehearsal in continuous improvement.
