Platform Real State: Abstract Your Organization's Tenancy Model Away With Crossplane

As platform teams mature, so does the definition of what they consider to be the bare platform components. Not only they need to provide application services to the developer teams but also manage infrastructure and middleware, to provide a secure environment for apps to run in.

Most organizations already have a tenant model in place, whether they acknowledge it or not. Different teams, departments or even organizations are consuming resources from the same pool of components you manage (your cloud/on-prem infra and services), and as a platform team, you have to decide on the most suitable way to separate those tenants across your stack, while providing them with the best development experience.

When we talk about tenancy in a platform, it typically ends up involving more than just Kubernetes resources. In this talk I will discuss and demonstrate how you can use Crossplane to define your tenancy model and unify the life-cycle management of resources across clouds and services.
