In the Spring of 2023, the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of the Provost tasked an Orientation Working Group to reimagine orientation from an eight-to-nine-day program to a two-to-three-day program for new undergraduates. This working group provided the recommendation for orientation to be reduced to five days and retain core campus traditions, and advising and registration.
