It is important to have platforms where with minimal number of components to be possible to persist, manage and process big data. Cosmos DB and Azure Data Factory offer such solution.

Azure Cosmos database is multi-model, globally distributed database from Microsoft. Currently Cosmos DB supports five database models. This is like having for different database servers in one. Cosmos DB provides robust infrastructure for building data structures within enterprises and helps to get real value and insights from existing data.

Azure Data Factory is a cloud-based data integration service that allows you to create data-driven workflows in the cloud for orchestrating and automating data movement and data transformation. Using Azure Data Factory, you can create and schedule data-driven workflows (called pipelines) that can ingest data from disparate data stores.
