Recently, the biggest event in Ethereum blockchain history has occurred - the Ethereum Merge. In this presentation, I will provide an overview of what the Ethereum Merge is, the changes it has brought, and what to expect in the future from the Ethereum ecosystem. Specifically, I will explain the differences between Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake, the preparation for the upgrade, the upgrade process itself, and why the upgrade was necessary in the first place. I also hope that the Ethereum Shanghai Upgrade will have already occurred by the time of my presentation, and I will be able to briefly discuss this final part of the upgrade.
