Many US agencies think of offshore help as freelancers rented by the task. This session describes the other model: permanent, full-time people who work as members of the agency's own team from Pakistan. It covers hiring for judgement as well as skill, onboarding new staff into client work, working across a nine-to-ten-hour time difference, and the habits that keep one team from splitting into two. It also covers what changed once AI agents joined the team, and which human roles became more important rather than less. Attendees leave with a checklist for building or fixing a distributed team.
