How I Built Three Enterprise Platforms With Claude: Lessons From the Field
Not long ago I was a cloud and security consultant with ideas for tools. Today I run three enterprise platforms built with Claude:
• Community Event Hub, a complete event-management platform integrated with more than 10 systems
• PIM Manager, secure privileged-access automation in containers
• SecurityInsight, risk prioritization on top of Microsoft Defender
Behind them sits Invardia, the support, licence and update platform I built the same way.
In this session I share my journey, so other consultants can start theirs faster:
• Structure and context: CLAUDE.md as a short router, a few canonical files (requirements, features, design, tests), and clean handovers when a session resets. Chat is lost; the file is not.
• Working with frameworks: one shared framework for branding, audit, licences, telemetry and update rings, so every product builds on the same contracts.
• Where AI helps, and where it doesn't: AI is great for classification, summaries and support replies. Risk scores, security guards, licences and privileged changes stay deterministic, and AI only proposes.
• Testing and releases: parallel test lanes, quick gates on every change, and signed releases through rings with my approval before broad rollout.
• Running support with AI: monitoring that turns failures into fix requests, with a human in charge of every customer decision.
• Verify everything: "done" means verified live, not "it compiles", plus the mistakes that cost me the most time.
After this session you will know how to build, test, release and run AI-built software, and be ready to start your own journey.
How to structure an AI-built project so it stays on track: CLAUDE.md as a router, a few canonical files with one job each, and clean handovers between sessions.
Where AI belongs inside your applications and where it doesn't: use AI for classification, summaries and support; keep risk scores, security guards, licences and privileged changes deterministic.
How to ship AI-built software safely and run it: quick test gates, signed releases through rings, and an AI-assisted support organization with a human in charge.
