Self-awareness is the first CASEL competency and an essential prerequisite for developing other competencies. Yet research suggests few students have an accurate self-perception. We share a research-backed approach to use objective academic and cognitive data to support students in developing an accurate learner profile so they are empowered by their strengths and prepared to address challenges.
