Deploying AI-driven IoT platforms on Kubernetes manually at scale comes with major challenges—dynamic infrastructure, complex database replication, and time-consuming deployments. In this talk, we discuss how we implemented one click deployment for an AI IoT platform, using the right set of cloud native tools.

Traditionally, setting up the platform took 8 hours due to manual provisioning and configuration. This talk presents a study on how we automated and scaled Astarte-an open source IoT middleware on top of Kubernetes using GitOps and IaC best approaches, reducing setup time to 25 mins while ensuring high availability through database replication.

We also implemented observability to automate monitoring, detect failures proactively, and simplify troubleshooting. Attendees will gain practical insights into managing cloud-native AI/IoT platforms, optimising database replication, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring scalability with modern DevOps practices.
