From SharePoint to Enterprise Brain: Build an Open Knowledge Fabric for AI Agents

Organizations already have vast amounts of knowledge in Microsoft 365. The challenge is making that knowledge structured, governed, and ready for AI agents.
In this hands-on session, we’ll build an Open Knowledge Fabric (OKF) using SharePoint sites, libraries, content types, metadata, taxonomies, permissions, and SKILL.md files.
Through a practical demo, you’ll learn how to separate Knowledge, Skills, and Tools, apply governance and security, and enable multiple agents to reuse the same organizational knowledge and business skills.
The goal: move beyond connecting AI to documents and start building the foundation of a true Enterprise Brain.

3 Key Takeaways
- Structure knowledge for AI — Learn how SharePoint sites, libraries, metadata, content types, and taxonomies can become the foundation of an OKF.
- Separate Knowledge, Skills, and Tools — Discover how reusable SKILL.md files can define how agents work without embedding business knowledge inside individual agents.
- Govern the Enterprise Brain — See how permissions, security, ownership, lifecycle, and information governance can be applied while multiple agents safely consume the same knowledge fabric.
