Africa's future is open sourced

Ubuntu is a Zulu term that loosely translates to "I am because we are" and is at a core of a number of African cultures. This is essentially the premise of open-source software. This talk will guide the attendees through the concept, show how it changes our perspective and how it can influence the software solutions we build. The talk will then show open-source software is necessary for Africa's further development and how it can help shape every aspect of society.

The talk will conclude by urging the attendees to consider contributing more and starting projects that seek to help the development of the continent and show a few examples that have already been started.
