You don't always have to wait for satellite imagery to be updated to map new bicycle infrastructure in your city! In recent years American cities have been establishing and expanding their bicycle networks, and OSM enables people to use the new infrastructure by linking physical developments to navigation applications. I will demonstrate how to use a mix of public planning documents, open-source applications, and field surveys to keep OSM at the cutting edge of bicycle routing.
