Most customers are considering Database as a Service (DBaaS) options because they don’t have the internal skill to maintain a large on-premises database environment. However while moving to the cloud does reduce the administration requirements there are still some level of data management and maintenance that still needs to be done. This session highlights what management, high availability, performance, and monitoring means in a SQL Database environment and how to achieve basic administration fundamentals using the Azure Portal and Management Studio.
