Session

From Zero to Production: Designing and Running a Modern Azure Platform

A prototype can run almost anywhere.
A production platform needs identity, APIs, data, security, observability, deployment automation, resilience and a clear architecture.
In this session, we will build the architectural picture of a modern Azure application using the real-world nVibes platform as our case study.
Starting from a simple application, we will progressively introduce the components required to operate a real cloud platform: frontend applications, backend APIs, authentication, data services, secure communication, deployment pipelines, monitoring and AI services.
Rather than beginning with a complex architecture diagram, we will build the architecture step by step and explain why each component exists.
The session concludes with a live walkthrough of the running nVibes platform and selected Azure resources behind it.
What attendees will learn
- How a modern Azure application architecture evolves from prototype to production.
- How frontend, APIs, identity and data services fit together.
- Where AI services belong in an application architecture.
- Why observability, security and automated deployment should be architecture concerns.
- How to avoid unnecessary complexity while still designing for growth.
Live Demo
This would work beautifully visually:
Architecture diagram → Azure Portal → GitHub deployment → nVibes production application
