Around the world, 87% of employees are disengaged from their work. As a consultant, I struggled for years to improve the engagement of people in software companies until I finally realised we needed to rethink the way we manage our teams by adopting self-management practices.
In this talk, I will discuss my journey to discover self-management. I’ll share the benefits of developing a culture of self-management and the danger of not adopting this approach in our changing business world. I hope to prepare you with the methods, tools and processes you could use to encourage the emergence of this culture and give you tips from my experience to make it sustainable.
