The manufacturing industry is experiencing significant transformation with the advent of technologies like Industry 4.0, 3D printing, IoT, and IIoT. These advancements have enabled companies to revolutionize product manufacturing but have also increased vulnerabilities to cyberattacks, particularly through third-party vendors' remote maintenance. The reliance on industrial VPNs connected to public cloud networks for remote access has introduced substantial risks, including security breaches, financial losses, and operational disruptions. My strategy aims to leverage and enhance industrial VPN solutions to address these challenges in a secure and compliant manner. By providing effective strategies and insights, I aim to support both Digital Cybersecurity and Business Units in maintaining uptime and security standards, despite the inherent tension between rapid response times and stringent security measures.
