A common misconception about Node.js is that it is single-threaded. While this was true in the past, Node.js is now effectively a multithreaded runtime—and has been for the past six years. However, most developers do not know how to take advantage of multithreading in their applications.
This workshop will explore best practices and tools for building multithreaded applications with Node.js. We will cover Worker, postMessage, SharedArrayBuffer, and Atomics to support synchronous and asynchronous communication between threads.
